Practice Trainee Programme
CMS Holborn Asia is currently accepting applications for the Singapore Practice Trainee Programme, which is intended to provide suitable candidates with an opportunity to become qualified in Singapore.
We offer a practical training programme that gives trainees an opportunity to get hands-on training in domestic, regional and international transactions, projects and cases. Successful candidates are talented law students with strong academics, drive, and curiosity, who are eager to learn. The CMS Practice Training Contract programme offers trainees maximum exposure through a rotation of all our practice groups. We have designed the structure of our Practice Training Contract to give you the widest range of experience within our business in line with the training requirements in the Legal Profession Act and the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 2011. You will receive supervision and support from senior lawyers, practical scheduled training modules covering major aspects of corporate, commercial, construction and infrastructure, energy oil & gas and dispute resolution practice, TMT and a dedicated mentor for career guidance. An honorarium will also be provided through the Practice Training Period.

Candidates should apply with:
- Email subject stating the practice training year, for e.g. PTC 2025;
A cover letter of no more than one page, stating the practice training year, preferred areas of practice and why the candidate believes himself/herself to be a unique proposition to CMS; and - A CV of no more than 3 pages, with (i) contact e-mail and day contact details; (ii) academic records and achievements; (iii) extra-curricular activities and achievements, (iv) prior work experience; and (v) a copy of law school transcripts where applicable, including the grades for the academic term immediately preceding the application.
Internship Programme
Each year, CMS Holborn Asia welcomes law students to join our internship programmes. Our internships are an opportunity for you to experience life in a law firm, to learn the tricks of the trade and to make contacts. It could even lead to a long-term collaboration. The successful intern(s) will be offered to undertake practice training with our firm.
