Jaya is a Senior Associate at CMS Holborn Asia, the Formal Law Alliance with CMS Singapore and Singapore law practice, Holborn Law LLC. Jaya provides commercial and regulatory advice to clients across the telecommunications, technology, and media sectors, with a particular focus on digital infrastructure, cloud services, content and consumer protection regulation across Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

In the digital infrastructure sector, Jaya focuses on commercial and regulatory matters. Her expertise includes joint build and supply agreements, master services agreements, and IRU agreements for dark/lit fibre transactions. Jaya advises leading global data centre and colocation providers on a broad range of telecommunications regulatory matters across Asia, including licensing requirements and compliance obligations for connectivity services. She also supports major cloud service providers on regulatory compliance for cloud computing operations, including cross-border data transfers, data localisation, and government access to data stored in cloud environments.

In the media sector, Jaya has advised global entertainment and digital media companies on a wide range of issues, including OTT regulation, platform liability, advertising and marketing compliance, content licensing agreements, and consumer protection.

Jaya is also active in the data privacy space, advising clients on cross-border data transfers, data localisation, cybersecurity regulations, and sector-specific privacy requirements across Asia.

She previously served as in-house counsel at Amazon, supporting both the Devices and Digital Content business and Amazon Web Services’ Network Infrastructure division across APAC and the Middle East. Jaya began her career in M&A and capital markets, focusing on the telecommunications sector. She is admitted in Singapore and New York.
